Regarding the “Seoul Initiative Network on Green Growth (SI) Pilot Project Proposal”


To Whom It May Concern,

KECO(Korea Environment Corporation) has performed a role of Seoul Initiative Network on Green Growth (SINGG) Secretariat and we are now calling for proposal for 2016 SI Pilot Project. Applications are accepted from 00 April to 30 June 2016.

KECO is an affiliated organization under the Ministry of Environment of Republic of Korea, which concerns all areas in the field of environment such as air, water, soil and waste, etc. For more information, you can visit our website(http://www.keco.or.kr/en/main/index.do)
The purpose of the Seoul Initiative on Green Growth (SI) pilot project is to disseminate Green Growth concepts through the region. The project funds are supported by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea (KME) and now available for governments in the region to translate Green Growth concepts into onward trend of sustainable development around the world. Best practices through the implementing of the project will be disseminated in national/local levels throughout the member countries in the region within the Seoul Initiative. In this time, the suggested project duration vary from 6 to 12 months. And for one project, the available budget might be 60,000~$70,000. (It is the estimated amount and can be varied according to the number of finally chosen SI pilot project)

 - Estimated Pilot Project Budget : 60,000~$70,000 (In case of 2 SI pilot project’s selection)

We’ve implemented 25 pilot projects in 15 countries since 2008 and now 3 projects are progressing in Laos, Maldives and Fiji from 2015 as below;
1.	Hazardous waste landfill development plan in Lao PDR
2.	Provision of Waste Resource Efficient Management Plan in Maldives
3.	Establishment of River Protection plan by conversion of Fats, Oils and Grease(FOG) to Biodiesel

If you are interested in SI pilot project, please submit a proposal for SI Pilot Project. You can submit an electronic version of the proposal in standard template (attached to this office letter and also available for downloading from the website:http://www.singg.org) to Ms. PARK, Hye-yun(singg@keco.or.kr) no later than 31 JULY, 2016.
